Köthen: a bright future for engineers

Those who want a classic or cutting-edge engineering science degree course will find just what they're looking for in Köthen. Around 3,000 students and 55 professors study and conduct research in three departments – Computer Science (Dept. 5), Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering (Dept. 6) and Applied Biosciences and Process Engineering (Dept. 7). Köthen also has an international flavour. Around 300 foreign students prepare for a successful course of study in Germany at the Landesstudienkolleg. To wind down, there are large sports facilities, lots of sports on offer and an active student club. Incidentally, Köthen is also the (administrative) heart of the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.
