DSH (German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education)

Foreign applicants seeking direct admission to a course of study in Germany must provide evidence of passing the DSH test (German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education for foreign course applicants).

The Landesstudienkolleg offers a one-semester DSH course.

The DSH consists of:

• Listening comprehension and use of the language from a listening text
• Reading comprehension and use of the language from a reading text
• Text production based on given details
• Comprehension and use of structures used in the language of science and study (grammar)

Note: The DSH can also be taken at an external institute.
