Environmental Protection and Landscape Planning

Dedication and a love of nature as well as knowledge of animals and plants are good qualifications for this course. The focus of this course is clearly on consistent nature conservation. Students acquire sound ecological knowledge, methods of recording landscape factors, specialised knowledge of the various natural, nature-based and superimposed habitats. Studying Nature Conservation and Landscape Planning also means extensive species knowledge and learning methods for assessing and evaluating. The course covers planning skills and nature conservation law. Graduates also master how to work with geographical information systems. As nature conservation is always a question of how we can all live together, the programme also includes exercises on how to communicate with other land users and applied public relations. Interesting research projects that are already conducted during the Bachelor’s degree course ensure scientific exchange and offer many further opportunities in Germany and abroad.
