Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning
Landscape and city, nature and planning – plus creativity:
The students work in an interesting and exciting conflict area. This broadly structured and highly practice-oriented course of training focuses above all on the issue of sustainability. The course centres around working independently with open spaces in the city and countryside. Tasks range from property and open space planning to the improvement of residential environments, the use of plants and garden monument design. Modern landscape architecture and environmental planning looks at new population structures, the scarcity of resources and climate change – and develops present-day solutions that will still be expedient tomorrow. Of central importance are accordingly methodical skills such as open space planning, the use of plants and landscape construction – as well as strategies for preserving landscapes and rare or endangered species and biotopes. After graduation, state approved registration as a landscape architect is possible.
