Geoinformatics
The Master in Geoinformatics links science, research and practice – and computer science with geoscience. New concepts, programmes and software systems are developed for capturing, analysing, visualising and using space-related data. The focus is on the planning and implementation of geoinformation systems (GIS) – and the linking of the data. Geoinformatics graduates ensure sound data portrayal and analysis with their work, answering many questions related to business, environment and society. They also give concrete recommendations for action. A special feature of the course is the module Management Qualification in which skills are taught that are indispensable for managerial tasks in business and administration. In the nationwide renowned and successful GIS Camp (http://www.gis-camp.de) this is all then practically tried out. Lots of content, ideal prospects!
