Food and Agribusiness
The Master’s course in Food and Agribusiness is a four semester interdisciplinary programme of scientific training. The course, which is above all application-oriented, prepares students for managerial tasks that require skills along the entire length of the food chain. A sound knowledge ‘from the producer to the consumer’ is therefore important. The course centres around international trends in production, processing and the sale of agricultural products and food. It also deals with globalisation in its entirely practical form: What are the requirements and what are the consequences for consumer needs, consumer standards and purchasing habits? What are the challenges for food safety and consumer protection? And what are the business-related aspects? These and many other questions are answered in a clearly practice-related manner. The professional prospects are good: graduates can assume a wide range of consulting, managerial and management tasks on the side of both producers and consumers.
