This is a highly sought-after qualification: Pharmaceutical Engineering is consistently oriented towards today’s requirements in the pharmaceutical industry where experts in quality assurance, drug analysis, plant planning and galenic development are urgently needed. Over the course of seven semesters, students are taught subject-related Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Engineering Science. Specialised pharmaceutical and biotechnological knowledge also form part of the course. The last semester provides intensive contact with practice – the Bachelor’s thesis is written based on the company work placement. Graduates have excellent opportunities in middle management within the pharmaceutical industry and comparable branches of industry. Above all quality controlling, quality management, project management, plant planning and drug development are possible areas of work. Alternatively, graduates can take a consecutive Master’s degree.
