This dual Bachelor’s degree course combines the learning of expertise at the university with the application of problem solving methods in practice. The combination of key technology and special application provides for an interesting and versatile education profile. The course consists of constant alternation between theory and practice periods. Consequently, the theoretical expertise is transferred to practice and problems discovered in practice can in turn be analysed during the theory period. The students complete all of the periods of their practical training in a single company and are thus strongly embedded into daily work operations. Graduates can perform microbiological and genetic tasks, research biotechnological processes and develop procedures. After graduation, they are free to enter directly into industry or further advance their knowledge in the Master's course.
